Greek journal on spatial planning and regional development, issued by the University of Thessaly, Department of Planning and Regional Development.

Aeihoros publishes original scientific papers in Greek and English, essays on policy issues, critical commentaries on conferences, interviews with foreign and Greek scientists, review articles, reviews on books, audiovisual products/ services of new technologies (films, television programs, DVDs, Blue-Rays, websites, etc.) are accepted for publication.

The goal of Aeihoros Journal is to promote the dialogue and the debate on issues related to spatial planning and urban and regional development, and associated with both the Greek and the international experience. Planners are strongly involved in sending and reviewing papers. There is also a collaboration mainly with public institutions (such as ministries) in preparing special issues.

Scientific papers in Greek and in English are evaluated by two anonymous reviewers, whereas the Editorial Board is responsible for the other texts. The general focus is on research. The journal is currently published in electronic form and is free of charge.


History

Aeihoros Journal has up to now been published biannualy, but recently its publications have become more frequent. So far, 20 issues have been published; in particular, 113 peer-reviewed papers have been published. Its publication is supported and implemented by the Department of Planning and Regional Development (University of Thessaly, Greece).
